The Congressional Research Service (CRS) is the public policy research arm of Congress.  CRS reports are an invaluable resource for anyone interested in researching new and upcoming issues in the law, however, their dissemination is only allowed at the discretion of Congress–as a result only select materials are available to the public.  Below please find a list of websites that provide copies of CRS reports.  Additional reports may be available to Pace students via ProQuest Congressional:

• AccessMyLibrary.com CRS Reports & Issue Briefs – Provides links to CRS reports released before January 2011 on a wide variety of topics.
• Federation of American Scientists – Provides up-to-date CRS reports on topics including: Secrecy and Information Policy, Intelligence, Homeland Security, Nuclear Weapons and Arms Control, Conventional Weapons Systems, Terrorism, General National Security Topics, Middle East, Foreign Policy and Regional Affairs, Space Policy, and Miscellaneous Topics (including environmental law).
• Franklin Pierce Law School’s IP Mall – Focuses on Intellectual Property, Cyberlaw and Electronic commerce CRS Reports.  This site has reports dating from 1993 to the present; it also has a Google powered keyword search.
• Law Librarians’ Society of Washington, D.C. – Provides links to select reports.  This list is arranged alphabetically by report name.  What is most helpful though is the site also contains a list of Links to CRS Repositories Available on the Free Internet.
• National Agriculture Law Center –  Provides links to reports released since January 2012, dealing with animal law, agriculture law, and other related topics such as food safety, transportation and environmental issues.
• National Council for Science and the Environment – Provides access to over 2225 reports (updated daily) relating to environmental issues of all kinds.
• Open CRS – Open CRS is a centralized utility that brings together CRS reports that are available in the Public domain.  The site allows for keyword searching.
• Thurgood Marshall Law Library – Provides access to reports dealing with Homeland Security/Terrorism and Health Law & Policy.
• U.S. Department of State – This collection primarily focuses on Foreign Policy and international relations.  Researchers can sort reports by Date, Region, and Topic.  The department of State has an approximate one-to-two week delay for posting reports.
• University of North Texas Digital Library – Contains a growing collection of reports beginning in 1990.  The site has both a basic and advanced search feature in addition to the ability to browse by hyperlinked subjects (scroll down to view).
• Wikileaks – This site has a significant collection of CRS reports dating back to 1990, however, it is difficult to navigate and the entries are not arranged in any real workable order other than by date.
