Study Aids!

We know that our students use our print study aids, which are on reserve, quite a lot in the lead-up to and during exams. Unfortunately, we cannot circulate items from our collection. However, we have made arrangements with several different vendors to ensure that you still get access this spring to the study aids on which you have come to rely. Here is a breakdown of the resources that are available to use right now. You can also find more information on our research guide under the library resources tab.

West Academic is providing access to their online platform until June 1, 2020. You can find hornbooks, nutshells, the Concepts & Insights series, the Short & Happy Guides series, and more. It can be accessed through this link. If you are not using a VPN connection to the law school, you will have to enter your Pace Portal username and password on the authentication page. You can also find instructions about signing up for an individual account, which will allow you to annotate and bookmark the resources you use.

Wolters Kluwer is providing access to their online platform through June 30, 2020. The very popular Examples and Explanations series as well as Strategies and Tactics for the Finz Method are also available. To find the Finz book, click on advanced search and then type Finz in the author field. You can also find Emanuel outlines, casenote legal briefs, CrunchTime, Glannon Guides, and more. To access the platform, please use this link. Again, if you are not using a VPN connection you will need to enter your Pace Portal username and password on the authentication page.

LexisNexis is making their digital library available through May 29, 2020. In order to provide access, they need names and email addresses of students. In order to grant us permission to share this information with Lexis, please complete this form. New names will be sent to Lexis on Fridays. Once your information has been added, you will receive an email with instructions on how to access the platform. The Lexis Digital library includes the Questions & Answers series, the Understanding series, and a lot more.

If you have any questions, you can always contact the reference desk through email or chat. Everyone in the library wishes you the best of luck during finals and we look forward to seeing you in person again someday soon!
