I am happy to announce that the library has purchased a new book scanner. The scanner can scan books and other documents face up. Users can send files to their email address or save to a USB drive. The scanner is equipped with Optical Character Recognition (OCR) so you will have searchable PDFs. Users can also edit documents through cropping, changing contrast and brightness or color, and inserting captions or other text and images. It is incredibly easy to use and displays instructions on the screen. The scanner can be found inside the library behind the reference desk.
